Meet the Korean Consulting and Translation Service, Inc. Team

Steven S. Bammel

Steven S. Bammel
President

A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington (College of Business Administration), Steven S. Bammel worked in Seoul for nearly five years as an employee of the LG Group of South Korea. During that time, he promoted international business for several Korean companies and edited/translated hundreds of documents. He also learned about Korean business practices from the inside.

For several years, Steven, his wife Myunghee and two children Treasure and Cauvery, shared their time between Irving, Texas and the company’s corporate quarters near Seoul, Korea but have recently returned to Korea while Steven studies at the Graduate School of Business Administration at Hanyang University and further develops his unique Asian business perspective.


Jinho Park

Jinho Park
Korea Branch Head/Business Consultant

After graduating in 1995 from Hanyang University in Ansan, Korea, Jinho spent two years in the Overseas Business Part of Daesung Industries Co, Ltd, a subsidiary of one of Korea’s large business groups. Following this, his decade in management at Dongsan Church (the largest church in Ansan City with current weekly attendance of 15,000 people) eventually saw him overseeing the day-to-day operations of the entire church and as a result, he enjoys wide contacts and relationships deep within the Korean Christian community, as well as the business world.

Currently finishing up his doctoral degree in the Graduate School of Business Administration at Hanyang University, Jinho has been consulting on a variety of projects, including work in missions, marketing, education, publishing and large event planning. He is also a director of GHT, a new concept in service, tourism and medical care.

A long-time associate of Steven Bammel, Jinho's passions include leadership, vision networking, social organizations and holistic healing.


Hongil KimHongil Kim
English to Korean Project Manager

From 1998 to the present, Hongil has also been President of the Prosys Translation Agency, Seoul, South Korea.  Prosys is a general Korean-language translation service.  Prior to that, he worked with the Fine Translation Agency, Seoul, S. Korea as Head of Planning Team, mainly developing computer and Internet-related projects.  Hongil began at Miju International, Seoul, South Korea, as In-house translator (mainly computer-related projects).

Hongil attended Hallym University, Chooncheon, South Korea, gaining a B.A. (Korean Literature) and has traveled extensively throughout East Asia.

Dong-Hyeok KimDong-Hyeok Kim
English to Korean Project Manager

After From 1997 to the present, Dong-Hyeok has acted as President of Hyundai Translations, which specializes in legal, scientific, and patent translations.  Prior to Hyundai, he was Director of Imports and Exports for Yeong International Trading Company, based in Seoul, South Korea.

Dong-Hyeok Kim is also proud to have been associated with the global Litton Korea Corp., a subsidiary of Litton Industries, USA, from 1990 to 1994.  At Litton Korea Corp., he acted as General Manager, Contracts.

He also holds a B.A. in English Education (1981) from Korea Foreign Language University, Seoul, South Korea.


Don Southerton
Bridging Culture Blog

Don’s Bridging Culture Blog examines Korean global business and popular culture with a shrewd eye toward current and future trends, as well as provides insights into the dynamics of Korean global business.

Don began his fascination with Korean culture, specifically Korean business culture, in the 1970s and he has extensively studied Korean business culture, language and history at the University of Colorado, USC, UCLA and the Intercultural Institute of California. Following the increased business interaction between Korea and the US, Don works as a consultant to bring customized cross-cultural training to companies that benefit from knowledge of the Korean culture. Don's customers include many companies in America doing business in Korea and with Koreans.
