Pricing translation services is not like selling widgets and we have to quote each job individually since the actual price varies depending on the following factors:

Size of project - Large jobs benefit from volume discounts.
Translation direction – Translating to Korean from English is generally a bit less expensive than from Korean to English.
Type of content – No translator can be an expert in every topic and we make sure the skill set of the translation team is matched to the content. Depending on expertise, this can have an effect on the overall rate.
Translation timetable – Rushed schedules sometimes require overtime charges.
Condition of original – If the source document is hard to read, then our team must expend additional effort on understanding.
Formatting and/or typesetting requirements – Working in certain desktop publishing packages necessitates the expert assistance of our graphic designer who specializes in Asian languages.

Please understand that we cannot provide a fixed quote on a document that we have not seen. Therefore, we request that you send us your files when inquiring. If you are unable to do this because of confidentiality issues, please be detailed in your project specifications so we can quote within a price range. We will also be glad to sign your confidentiality agreement in advance of receiving your document.

Simply deposit a small sum to open your account with us and we'll handle the work as it comes in with overnight delivery guaranteed for documents under 200 words. At the end of your project, we’ll refund the unused balance in full.

Translation of Korean Family Registers

Korean Consulting and Translation Service, Inc. has translated hundreds of Korean family registers (sometimes referred to as “Korean birth certificates”) into English for US immigration and visa applications. Click here for detailed information about our translation process for these documents.

Payment Terms

If you are a company registered with Dun & Bradstreet, our terms are net 30 days with a company purchase order.

If you are not registered, you can conveniently pay in advance by check, bank transfer or by credit card through the PayPal button on our web site.

For Small and “Super Easy” Projects, Use Our Service at www.askakorean.com.

Even small jobs often turn out to involve more effort than expected and incur legal liability on our part. Due to the many requests we get for such work, we are unable to handle even tiny jobs for free.

However, we have set up a special site for small projects at www.askakorean.com and we welcome your questions and requests there. You can send in your question/request through the site at no charge and get our confirmation of the job before payment.

Note that free machine translation of Korean is available at Google Translate and that this can be useful for some applications. But the quality is very poor... you get what you pay for!
